ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT


Education in our department is provided by 8 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 10 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer, 5 Research Assistants, and 1 Technician. Our annual quota is 72 students. The medium of instruction is 30% English.

Undergraduate Program

Students are selected by OSYM based on their scores in the national university entrance exam (LYS) and their preferences. Approximately 75 students are admitted to the department each year. The program duration is 4 years. In order for students to graduate, their general grade point average must be above 2.00.

The medium of instruction is 30% English. Students who fail the English proficiency exam are required to attend an English preparatory school for one year before starting their courses.

Undergraduate students are required to complete at least 40 working days of internship to be able to graduate from the department. At the end of the internship, the reports prepared by the students are evaluated by the internship committees.

Master's Program

In this program, students are required to take courses and prepare and defend a thesis on a research topic.

 

PhD Program

The doctorate program includes courses and research. After completing the master's program, students who enroll in the doctorate program for four years are required to present their completed research on an original research topic in the form of a thesis and take an oral exam to complete the program.
